Where Are The Articles?

Dear Visitor,

Well, if you're on this page, you're looking for reasons why a promised article is not yet published. The articles are already written, but require further editing and composition before we can publish. Allow us to explain.

The first thing you should know is that while most of the articles are written by computer professionals and enthusiasts, this website is created and managed by students aged seven through seventeen. We are part of the ScienceQuest Internship program, or members of various SQ Science Clubs from The Rocky Mountain Region.

The public section of this website is something we decided to do for fun, in addition to our regular club activities, school activities, homework, classwork and other obligations. We also work on private and retail web projects whenever they are presented by members of our community, and must give all these things priority over the free computer help sections.

We apologize for the announced but missing in action articles. They've been written for a long time now, and the students, teachers and mentors that authored them are anxious to have you see them, but we still need to edit, update, add screenshots, illustrations and data tables, format, and debug them before you can read them. To further complicate things, the orginal digital copies of the articles were lost to a fire, and only poorly copied versions of the original published printings remain, forcing us to manually retype the articles, or use OCR software when possible. As such, the detailed help articles that remain each have a substantial amount of time to complete, as compared to the other articles already published.

It is our hope that like last year, we can publish at least one per month during our Summer session, since regular schoolwork will be reduced.

We'd like to thank you for your interest and for all the kind compliments received. It's been our pleasure to assist you whenever we could, and we hope that the articles already published saved you some trouble and added something to your computing pleasure.

Happy Spring to All
